...is the southernmost town in France, near the Mediterranean coast. It's a medieval town with a cloister, a cathedral and a palace. It has 120,000 inhabitants and is home to two international rugby teams - USAP (French rugby union champions in 2009) and Catalan Dragons who play in the British Super League)..
The nearest sandy beaches are 10 km away, ski slopes 2 hours' drive.
Air France, Ryanair, Flybe and BMiBaby fly direct to Perpignan (free pick-up). Direct TGV to Paris and Brussels.
